Juehua Island is also called Juhua (Chrysanthemum) Island. It is a National 4-A Scenic Spot and the largest island in Liaodong Bay. Juehua Island has been called Northern Buddhist Island. It enjoys the reputation of Putuo Mountain in the South and Juehua Island in the north. Juehua Island is located in Juehua Island Township in Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province. There is a joint office of Juehua Island Township and Juehua Island Resort Management Committee. 

　　Juehua Island is to the southwest of Xingcheng seashore. It is 12.5 kilometers from land. The island is irregular gourd-shaped. The main island covers 13.5 square meters. The island is high in the South and low in the north. The highest altitude of the island is 198.2 meters. The coastline is 27 kilometers long. It is the largest island in Liaodong Bay.  

　　The scenery of Juehua Island is very elegant and beautiful. There are dense forests on the island. Zhangjiashan Island and Yangjiashan Island are to the south of it. There is a winding mountain path in the north. The three islands are arranged in interesting zigzags.There are many places of interest and historic sites on the island, such as the Large Dragon King’s Palace Temple, Octagonal Well and Tangwang Cave built in the Liao Dynasty, the Barracks City, Fengta Temple built in the Ming Dynasty and the site of Dabei Pavilion which was also built in the Ming Dynasty. There are many cultural heritages such as Bodhi Cultural Park, East Coast Landscape Park, Jiujingshi Scenic Spot and South Sea Bathing Place. Juehua Island is a unique place for summer vacation, recreation and recreation for its superior geographical location and elegant environment with lush trees and fragrant wild flowers. There are rare bodhi trees  in northern China and a octagonal well with a long history.    

　　In recent years, Juehua Island has been attracting tourists from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Jilin Province, Helongjiang Province and many other places. A large number of tourists come to the island to enjoy historic sites, beautiful scenery and seafood from June to October every year.
