Xingcheng Manchu Embroidery (Manchu Embroidery for short) produced in Xingcheng City, Huludao City, is a is a wonderful flower of Northeast folk art and Liaoning Intangible Cultural Heritage. Dong Ning (female) is the representative inheritor. She is a master of Liaoning Province arts and crafts and Liaoning Province March 8th Red Flag Bearer.  

　　Manchu Embroidery originated in the Han Dynasty. It has distinct characteristics of northern embroidery, concise and bright, with bold and bright color. It is a unique traditional skill handed down from generation to generation by Manchu women and reflects the unique embroidery style of Manchu nationality. Although Manchu embroidery uses needle instead of pen and thread instead of color like the four famous embroidery, its simple and rugged artistic features are unique. In 2005, Dong Ning began to excavate and arrange the Manchu embroidery art, and founded Ningxin Embroidery Workshop. By drawing on the advantages of the four famous Chinese classical embroidery, she studied the Manchu embroidery technology in the new period and innovated the art techniques of Manchu embroidery. In 2013, she founded Xingcheng Dingcheng Manchu Embroidery Co., Ltd., which mainly produces and manages Manchu embroidery crafts, household accessories, clothing and so on. Manchu embroidery works can be divided into practical works, ornamental works, etiquette works, religious supplies and collections. The products with rich varieties and various patterns can meet the needs of different people, different levels and different tastes. The company has more than 50 creative personnel and produces about 400 embroidery products a year. More than 380 works have been collected by the Ministry of United Front, Huludao Archives Bureau and all walks of life. More than 180 works have been collected by the people from Japan, Canada, Russia, Germany and other countries.
