Western Liaoning embroidery produced in Lianshan District, Huludao City, is made by hand only. Miss Wang Ye is the leader. She has a Wang Ye Embroidery Workshop in which 15 employees and 10 part-time workers work. The workshop produces 50 embroidery hanging scroll paintings and 200 embroidery garments annually.     

　　There are two series of products of Western Liaoning embroidery. One is the series of hanging scroll paintings, the representative products of which are general household decorative paintings and embroidery paintings for art collection. The paintings have fine workmanship and rich color. The combination of the traditional flat needle and the modern random needle makes the works clear and three-dimensional. The vivid images meet the aesthetic needs of the contemporary public. Many works have received wide acclaim. Several works won prizes in provincial exhibitions. The other is the series of clothing supplies. The representative products of the series are clothing, scarves, bags, etc. These products are made with traditional flat needle embroidery. All kinds of auspicious patterns and flowers and grass are embroidered on silk and cashmere wool fabrics. A handmade embroidery product has uniqueness because the same pattern will not be exactly the same as the previous one in the second embroidery even if it is made by the same worker (This is the charm of manual embroidery). The unique characteristics of the works meet the personalized requirements of modern people, which is also the reason why the products are well recognized by high-end and middle-end groups. The exquisitely embroidered cheongsam is suitable for all kinds of people. Especially the corresponding patterns embroidered on cashmere and wool overcoats highlight traditional Chinese culture and enhance personal temperament. The products are well received by consumers.
